Charging hardware matched to the intended battery chemistry.

The project
Nexora developed charger hardware for lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. Charging control is suited to the intended chemistry, with the portfolio identifying 20 Ah batteries as the application. The work covers schematic design, PCB development and product testing of the charger electronics.
The engineering challenge
Battery capacity and charger output are different specifications. The stated 20 Ah describes stored charge capacity; it is not a 20 A charger rating. A charger design also needs the pack voltage, chemistry and permitted charging behaviour to be defined. This case therefore presents the confirmed chemistry-focused hardware work without assigning an undocumented charging current.
Engineering scope
Charger hardware for lead-acid batteries
Charger hardware for lithium-ion batteries
Chemistry-specific charging control for 20 Ah battery applications
From circuit design to product testing
Nexora’s work on this product covers three connected stages. Schematics define the circuit and its interfaces. PCB development turns that design into a physical board. Product testing evaluates the assembled electronics against the intended operating requirements.
Where it can help
Relevant to equipment makers integrating charging hardware with specified battery packs. Input supply, pack voltage, charge current and interfaces depend on the application.
Project questions
Does 20 Ah mean a charging current of 20 A?
No. Ah is a battery-capacity unit, while A describes current. The portfolio identifies a 20 Ah battery application and does not specify the charger’s output current.
