The project
Nexora developed electronics for a range of electrical protection devices. The work covers an earth leakage protection relay and a smart protection switch that combines under-voltage, over-voltage, over-current and earth leakage functions. The purpose is to recognise specified fault conditions and initiate the intended protective action.
The engineering challenge
Protection products bring sensing, decision-making and switching interfaces together. The engineering challenge is to keep the monitored condition, configured limit and resulting action consistent across the circuit and assembled hardware. This project addresses that electronics layer; selection for a particular electrical installation still depends on its requirements.

From circuit design to product testing
Nexora’s work on this product covers three connected stages. Schematics define the circuit and its interfaces. PCB development turns that design into a physical board. Product testing evaluates the assembled electronics against the intended operating requirements.
