# .NET Application Development Services

.NET can provide the application layer behind a portal, internal tool or connected product. We focus on business rules and reliable interfaces so the code supports the way your team actually works.

## Design .NET business rules and application interfaces

We define what each operation accepts, changes and returns. Validation and permissions belong in the service as well as the interface. API contracts make error responses and version expectations explicit, helping web, mobile and integration teams work with the same understanding of the application.

## Treat data access as part of the design

Records often change together, and a partial update can leave confusing results. We plan transaction boundaries, query patterns and concurrency handling around real workflows. Slow requests and data-heavy screens are investigated using evidence, with tests that cover the affected behaviour rather than only the successful path.

## Fit the existing operating environment

The application may need to run beside older services or connect to an established identity system. We review dependencies before making platform choices. Release configuration, logging and recovery steps are documented so the team can build, deploy and investigate the service without relying on one developer’s machine.

## Project deliverables

## Service questions and answers

### What does starting a .NET engagement involve?

We review the application, target environment and work required, then agree the engineering role and any technical assessment. Before delivery starts, the scope records responsibilities, acceptance checks, access and commercial terms. Onboarding establishes a reproducible build and a first review point. Dates follow those dependencies and confirmed availability; there is no assumed standard timetable.

### Can the same engagement include development and care after release?

It can be proposed as a combined scope, but post-release work needs its own operating arrangements. We define who monitors the application, responds to incidents, approves patches and pays for hosting. Support coverage and response expectations must be agreed; they are not automatically included because the team wrote the application.

### How do you decide between maintaining an older .NET application and moving it?

The .NET Framework and later .NET implementations differ in supported application models, libraries and hosting options. The name .NET Core refers to earlier releases in the later platform line. We inspect the actual project and its dependencies before recommending a route. A move needs a practical reason and compatibility checks rather than a decision based only on names.

### Who makes day-to-day decisions on a .NET project?

We agree that at the start. Your product owner usually needs to resolve business priorities, while technical and delivery responsibilities are assigned to named people on the agreed team. Reviews should make decisions and blockers visible. If Nexora is asked to coordinate delivery, that responsibility and its limits are included in the scope.
