# Planning Cloud, Web Dashboards & Mobile Apps

A web dashboard and a mobile app are two ways to use the same product. Planning them together helps your team avoid mismatched data, repeated work and confusing user journeys.

## Define web and mobile user journeys

A manager at a desk may need to compare many devices. A person in the field may need to check one device and record an action. Start with these tasks instead of copying every web screen into the app. List the information needed for each task and the action that completes it.

## Share API contracts and data rules across applications

An API is the agreed way for systems to exchange information. Define what the web and mobile apps can request, what they can change and how errors are returned. Use the same units, status meanings and access rules across both. If the device is offline, every screen should explain that consistently.

## Define user roles and backend permissions

Write down the roles in the product. A viewer may read information, while an operator may acknowledge an alert. An administrator may manage users. Enforce these permissions in the backend as well as in the interface. Hiding a button alone does not protect the action behind it.

## Plan notifications and alert follow-up

Decide which events deserve an alert, who should receive it and what they can do next. Too many notifications can make important ones easy to miss. Consider repeated alerts, quiet periods and what happens if a notification is not delivered. The product should keep a clear record of status instead of depending on a phone notification alone.

## Test one complete journey in the first release

A first release can be small and still be useful. For example, connect a device, show its latest status, send a relevant alert and let an authorised user respond. Test that journey before adding more screens. Share your current tools, expected users, sample data and main goal with Nexora. We can then plan the cloud, web and mobile work as one connected system.
